UPDATE: Arrest Made in Violent Diner Assault in Maplewood

Maplewood  Police arrested a man for a violent assault at a diner in the Township in late March. 

On Monday, officials said in continuation with an investigation conducted by the Maplewood Police Departments Detective Bureau in regards to an Aggravated Assault that occurred on March 30th at the Maplewood Diner Detective Rodrigues identified and charged Mr. Keandre Myers, 25, of Irvington. 

Maplewood authorities said Detective Rodrigues and Detective Rella were able to locate Myers in Elizabeth after searching for him for several weeks.  

Police charged Myers with Aggravated Assault, two counts of Terroristic Threats, Criminal Mischief, and Harassment.  

He was processed by Detectives and transported to the Essex County Jail.
