A North Jersey man is in custody and has been criminally charged with being responsible for a fatal shooting that took place in Rahway earlier this summer, acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo announced Thursday.
Officials say, Mr. Daymon Duncan-Wilson, 27, of Passaic is charged with first-degree murder and two related second-degree weapons offenses in connection with the death of 25-year-old Mr. Saquan Hurling of Linden.
Rahway Police Department patrol units responding to the 500 block of Harrison Street on the morning of Saturday, June 29, 2019 found Hurling’s body in a vehicle at that location, according to Union County Homicide Task Force Supervisor Scott M. Peterson, who is prosecuting the case. Hurling was pronounced dead at the scene.
A joint investigation by the Task Force, Rahway Police Department, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit, resulted in Duncan-Wilson being identified as a suspect in the case, and criminal complaints were filed against him on Tuesday, September 3.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Duncan-Wilson Wednesday morning in Jersey City, and he was subsequently transported to Union County Jail to await a first appearance and detention hearing scheduled to take place in Superior Court.

Convictions on murder charges are commonly punishable by terms of 30 years to life in state prison.
