UPDATE ALERT: Suspect Wanted for Stabbing Two Juveniles on NJ Transit Bus in Newark

Police in Newark request’s the public’s help identifying a suspect, who was captured on surveillance video stabbing two juveniles inside of an NJ Transit Bus on September 25. 

Officials said Newark Police officers responded to reports of a stabbing in progress around 8:30 p.m. on the No. 25 bus, which stopped at Martin Luther King Boulevard and Springfield Avenue.

According to authorities, when officers arrived, one of the victims told them that the suspect walked up to him and stabbed him repeatedly with a knife that he pulled from a fanny pack.

The victim’s friend jumped in to help and was stabbed in the back of the head.

The victims, who ran from the bus to escape the attack, were taken to University Hospital.

Police said the suspect ran east on Springfield Avenue.
