UPDATE ALERT NEWARK: Suspects Wanted for Citywide Robbery Spree; Victims Attacked in Newark's Ironbound Section

There is an active search for several suspects who are wanted for a violent robbery spree that caused injuries at locations in Newark since Friday.

Police are looking for a Black Chevy Impala occupied by three suspects (possibly Hispanics) who engaged in armed robberies around the city. Police say the car has a reported license plate number "B63-AVX" the suspects have reportedly changed plates on occasions.

According to police, in one of the violent attacks, suspects pulled up in the area of Merchant Street near Ferry and targeted a male riding his bike Saturday night.

Police say the suspects approached and began to beat the victim off of the bike with a blunt object before taking cash and personal possessions; They then fled the scene police said.

Authorities believe that the men have robbed three other victims and gas stations over the weekend.

In an earlier incident, police say several juveniles attacked a 60-year-old woman walking in the city's East Ward.

The woman was assaulted then robbed by three black males on Jefferson Street but managed to run from the suspects and take shelter in a nearby store.

All of the suspects remain at-large.
