UPDATE: Active Search Underway for Woman Wanted for Questioning in Newark Store Robbery

Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in identifying a woman wanted for questioning in connection with a business robbery that occurred on Monday night.

In a statement released by police, at approximately 6 p.m., two men entered H&Y Mini-Mart, located at 268 South 11th Street, and robbed the store of cash at gunpoint.

Police say the first suspect is described as tall and stocky male who wore wore a black hooded sweatshirt with orange gloves.

The remains suspect has a small stature and thinner build.

Police say he wore a light blue, long sleeve sweater and purple latex gloves.

According to police, the woman entered the store ahead of the two men and signaled to their vehicle, a 2-door black Dodge Challenger, before they entered.

The woman wore wore a yellow jacket with a white shirt and blue jeans.

Detectives investigating this incident obtained a photo of the woman who is being sought for questioning police said.
