Authorities in Essex County reported that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting of Mr. Romulo Luzuriaga, 57, of Newark.
Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Spokesman Robert Florida said on May 11 at 10:25 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting at the 200 block of Grafton Avenue in Newark. Police located Luzuriaga in a car suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
He was transported to University Hospital and pronounced dead at 11:05 p.m.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
No arrests have been made.
