UPDATE: 56-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed by Car in Marlboro

FREEHOLD – A 52-year old female died as a result of being struck by a motor vehicle on Sunday evening in Marlboro, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

Officials say Ms. Dawn A. Sheldrick, 52, of Morganville, was walking in the area of Texas Road and Mill Ponds Way in Marlboro at approximately 7:32 p.m. Sunday evening, when she was struck eastbound by a 2003 Toyota Camry, driven by Brandon J. Morin, 18, of Morganville.

The victim was pronounced deceased at 8:16 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Marlboro Police Department.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
