UPDATE: 38-Year-Old Man Shot Dead in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that on Sunday, at approximately 1:30 a.m., police officers responded to the area of 43 Ellison Street in the City of Paterson in response to a report of a shooting.

Upon their arrival, the officers discovered two victims, Richard Henry, 38, from Paterson, and Carlos Munoz, 23 years old from Paterson, both with apparent gunshot wounds.

Mr. Henry had succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene, while Mr. Munoz was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center where he was admitted in stable condition.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
