Law enforcement officials in Passaic County reported that on May 6, at approximately 1:14 a.m., patrol officers were flagged down in the area of East Main Street and Hillman Street in Paterson on a report of a man down.
According to Prosecutor Valdes, Paters Officers found the victim, a 34-year-old male from Paterson, New Jersey, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Prosecutor Valdes said the victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
