Police in Newark are investigating a shooting that left a man dead overnight in the city.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the vicinity of Nevada and Court streets at around 10:15 p.m.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Mr. Marselis Uwe G Wilson 30, of Newark, was rushed to University Hospital suffering gunshot wounds.
Authorities say doctors pronounced Wilson dead at approximately 10:28 p.m.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
The shooter remains at-large according to police.
