Authorities in Passaic County reported that on August 20, at approximately 10:30 p.m., off-duty Paterson Police Officers heard gunshots coming from the area of Colonial Avenue in Paterson.
Officials said they located a crime scene in the area of 51 Colonial Avenue but did not locate a victim.
A short time later, the shooting victim, a 29-year-old male from Paterson, was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased from a gunshot wound.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
