UPDATE: 26-Year-Old Man Killed in Route 80 Crash

The State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Parsippany-Troy Hills on Route 80 on Monday night.

According to State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on September 14, around milepost 46.3 in the westbound lanes of I-80.

According to a preliminary investigation, an International construction truck operated by Salvatore Fucci, 57, of Manchester, was stopped in the left lane of I-80 conducting a mobile construction detail.

Police report that then a Chevrolet pickup truck operated by Frank Orlando Jr., 26, of Wantage, struck the rear of the International truck.

Officials say that a passenger in the Chevy pickup, Lisa Repici, 31, of Newton, sustained moderate injuries and Fucci sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Orlando Jr. sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced at the scene.

The road was closed for approximately 4 hours and all traffic was diverted off Exit 47. Moderate traffic-congested resulted.

The crash remains under investigation.
