UPDATE: 24-Year-Old Bronx Man Killed in Paterson; Dropped off at Bergen County Nursing Home

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Friday police officers responded to Alaris Health medical facility in Rochelle Park in response to a report of shooting victim who had been driven to that facility in a private vehicle.

Upon their arrival, the officers discovered the victim, Riquelvin Burgos-Nunez, 24 years old from the Bronx, New York who had suffered apparent gunshot wounds.

Police say Mr. Burgos-Nunez was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The subsequent investigation revealed that Burgos-Nunez had been traveling in his vehicle in Paterson on East 31st Street between 11th Avenue and 12th Avenue when he was shot while in his vehicle.

He continued driving until he crashed into another vehicle and came to a stop in the area 749 Broadway.

Police say at that time two unknown individuals placed him into another vehicle and transported him to the Alaris Health facility in Rochelle Park where he was pronounced.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
