Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 11:43 p.m. Thursday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of 39-41 North Main Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
Police said upon their arrival, officers located Mr. Rasheed Davis, 22, from Paterson, inside the restaurant at that location unresponsive with apparent gunshot wounds.
Police say Medical personnel tried to revive Mr. Davis, but they were unsuccessful and he was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 12:03 a.m.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
