UPDATE: 22-Year-Old Camden Man Dies from Shooting Incident

A 22-year-old man has died after being shot on Monday night in Camden and the investigation into this fatal shooting continues, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Department  Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

Police said on Monday, August 8, at 11:12 p.m. Camden County Metro Police officers responded to the 2700 block of Federal Street for a ShotSpotter Activation.

Upon arrival, police said officers located a male suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was identified as 22-year-old Lemuel Rodgers.

Rodgers was transported to Cooper University Medical Center for treatment.  Rodgers was pronounced deceased at Cooper University Medical Center on August 10, 2022 at 11:45 p.m.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
