UPDATE: 18-Year-Old Man Stabbed to Death in Jersey City

The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office, led by Prosecutor Esther Suarez, has announced a joint investigation with the Jersey City Police Department into the tragic stabbing of 18-year-old Naseer Munroe.

The incident occurred on the evening of Friday, December 15, 2023, in Jersey City.

At around 8:55 p.m., Jersey City Police received a distress call about a stabbing at the intersection of Duncan Avenue and Wilmont Street. On reaching the site, officers found Munroe suffering from a severe stab wound to his torso.

Emergency services rushed Munroe to the Jersey City Medical Center for urgent medical attention.

Despite their efforts, Munroe was pronounced dead shortly after 10:00 p.m.

The Regional Medical Examiner's Office is currently working to determine the exact Cause and Manner of Death.

As the investigation intensifies, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police are calling for public assistance.
