Essex County authorities reported that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old in Irvington.
According to officials, on Friday, August 19, at 10:10 p.m., police discovered the juvenile in the 100 block of Maple Avenue.
Sources in the community identified the victim as Kensley Moneus.
Police found Moneus suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:40 p.m.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
No arrests have been made.
