Officials at University Hospital has announced a health fair that will offer free cancer screenings to the community.
According to officials, on Saturday, October 12, 2019, University Hospital and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School will collaborate to offer an event entitled See, Test, Treat.
Officials say this event will offer free breast and cervical cancer screening services to the uninsured population in the Greater Newark area regardless of immigration status.
"The goal is to have the participants come in for cancer screenings and to provide them with the test result the same day" according to event organizers.
Officials say during their waiting period, participants will have the opportunity to meet with different vendors that offer HIV testing, Vision, and hearing testing, etc. at no cost.
