United Airlines Plane from Newark Makes Rough Landing in Denver

United Airlines officials are reporting no injuries in an aircraft incident that had a plane making a rough landing at an airport in Denver, Colorado, on Sunday evening.

Passengers aboard a United Airlines flight 2448 that departed from Newark International Airport landed in Denver on Sunday at around 7 p.m. reported a jarring landing before a pilot announced that the plane’s landing gears might have collapsed.

Firefighters rushed to the flight that suffered mechanical trouble during the rough landing, where some passengers reported seeing sparks on the runway.

A spokeswoman from the airline said that the flight had a “mechanical issue upon landing.”

Customers have been transported to the terminal and the plane is being inspected the United Airlines spokesperson said.

There were no injuries reported.
