NJ State Police officials are investigating a crash that killed a senior man on a highway in East Orange Tuesday morning.
Officials said just before 12:45 a.m., a Mercedes Benz C300 went off the road and traveled into the median between I-280 and exit 12 A-B.
State Police officials said the vehicle struck a sign, a tree and then the guardrail.
The driver, Mr. Obdulio Galarza, 63, of Union, sustained severe injuries and was transported to University Hospital, where doctors later pronounced him dead.
The crash remains under investigation.
