Union County Woman Dies in Tragic Turnpike Accident in Burlington County

In a devastating early morning incident, New Jersey State Police have confirmed the death of a Union County woman following a vehicular accident on the New Jersey Turnpike.AdTroopers were dispatched to the scene at 7:15 a.m., where they encountered a chaotic crash site at milepost 42.1 in Westampton Township, Burlington County.

According to initial findings, a Chevrolet van was journeying south when the driver lost control near milepost 42.1.

State Police officials said the vehicle veered off the road to the right, tumbled down an embankment, and overturned. In the harrowing moments that followed, Ms. Angela Claros Antonio, 45, of Elizabeth, was ejected from the van and suffered fatal injuries.

The driver, along with two other passengers, experienced minor injuries from the incident and were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

As the local community mourns the loss of Ms. Antonio, authorities continue to investigate the specifics of the crash.

Further details remain scarce as the investigation is ongoing, leaving many questions unanswered about the circumstances leading up to this tragic event.
