We’re off to a decent start across Newark and the North Jersey region as you head out early.

If you’re heading to the bus stop or commuting, temperatures are sitting around 54 degrees with a damp feel in the air.

It’s dry as of 4:30 a.m., but you’ll want to grab an umbrella before heading out—the weather will shift later today.

According to the National Weather Service, expect partly sunny skies with a high near 63 degrees. Light south winds will become southeast at 6 to 11 mph through the morning.

Tonight, showers are expected, mainly before 5 a.m., with a low around 49 degrees. Winds will remain out of the southeast at 6 to 9 mph, with a 90% chance of rain.
