UDATE: Gunmen Fire Over a Dozen Shots that Struck Four Victims in Jersey City

Police in Jersey City are investigating a shooting that injured several people at a location in the city Saturday night.

According to police, gunmen arrived near Triangle Park located near the intersection of Danforth and Rose avenues and began to repeatedly fire rounds at people in the area.

Jersey City Spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace Scalcione said at approximately 9:30 p.m., Jersey City Police officers responded to the shots fired call at 14 Rose Avenue.

Units arrived and found three who were transported to the hospital by ambulance, and the fourth was transported in a private vehicle.

Spokeswoman Wallace-Scalcione said all four victims have non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.

In another incident, police responded to reports of a person shot at around 9:30 a.m. in the 70’s block of Fremont today -Sunday-.

Officers found the male victim suffering a bullet wound in his groin at that location.

The extent of his injuries have not been reported as life-threatening at this time.
