Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle that was stolen while its owner briefly stepped inside a Montclair restaurant to pick up an Uber Eats order.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on June 19 along Bloomfield Avenue.
The victim told police he left his 2022 Toyota Corolla parked with the keys inside the cup holder while he entered the restaurant.
When he returned a short time later, he discovered the vehicle had been stolen.
The Toyota Corolla was recovered the following day on 17th Avenue in Newark.
The investigation remains ongoing.
