Two lucky New Jersey Lottery players will split Thursday night’s nearly $2 million Jersey Cash 5 jackpot, officials announced.

According to the New Jersey Lottery, the winning $1,974,960 prize will be shared by two ticket holders.
One winning ticket was sold at ShopRite on Maple Avenue in Fair Lawn, Bergen County, while the other was purchased at Basic Food Mart on Chestnut Street in Union, Union County.
The winning numbers drawn Thursday were 8, 10, 16, 33, and 43. The Bullseye number was 16, and the XTRA multiplier was 2.
With the jackpot hit, Friday’s Jersey Cash 5 prize resets to an estimated $150,000.
Lottery officials noted that 12 consecutive daily drawings had taken place without a jackpot winner prior to Thursday’s draw.
The odds of winning the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot with a $2 ticket are 1 in 1,221,759.
Players are reminded to sign their tickets immediately and contact the New Jersey Lottery to begin the claims process.
