Police in Newark secured a building in the city while investigators looked into the motive behind a shooting that injured two victims on Thursday.
According to a preliminary investigation, police taped off 191 Roseville Avenue after gunfire rang out around just before 11:35 p.m., sending police officers to the scene.
When police arrived, they found both victims suffered gunshot wounds.
The pair was transported to University Hospital for treatment and their conditions could not be immediately confirmed.
Police say the investigation is active, ongoing and no arrests have been made.
