Police in Jersey City are investigating the motive behind a stabbing that sent a juvenile and an adult to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, officers were dispatched to an address on Arlington Avenue after receiving 911 calls about an assault in progress around 2:20 pm.
When officers arrived, they found both victims bleeding from apparent stab wounds and immediately requested EMS to respond.
The victims were transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition.
Police detained a woman at the scene who is believed to be the suspect in the attack.
The incident remains under active investigation by Jersey City authorities as they work to determine what led to the violent encounter.
