Two Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle on Route 4 in Bergen County

There were serious injuries reported in a pedestrian strike that injured two individuals on a roadway in Paramus on Saturday evening.

According to officials, at approximately 5 p.m., police responded to reports of a pedestrian strike in the 200 block of Route 4 near Forest Avenue.

When officials arrived at the scene, they found two victims injured after a vehicle struck them at that location.

Officials say one of the victims suffered severe head trauma and was transported by paramedics to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment.

According to officials, the other victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the incident is under investigation by the Paramus Police Department.
