Two Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle in Jersey City Overnight

Police in Jersey City are investigating an incident where a vehicle struck two pedestrians on a street in the city Thursday morning.

According to authorities, the incident happened at approximately 1:35 a.m. in the vicinity of 111 Ocean Avenue where witnesses alerted emergency responders of multiple pedestrians struck by a car.

Emergency crews arrived to find a car lost control and left the roadway before striking two pedestrians and a building scaffold.

Jersey City Emergency Services Unit extricated one of the victims who was pinned between the car and the building according to reports.

Officials say both victims were rushed to Jersey City Medical Center in stable condition and expected to survive.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
