Two Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle That Fled the Scene in North Bergen

Hudson County authorities are looking for the driver of a car that struck two pedestrians in North Bergen then drove away from the scene. 

Police say emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Tonnelle Avenue ad 46th Street after they learned of injured pedestrians. 

Police and EMS arrived at the scene and found two victims suffering serious injuries at that location. 

According to police, a preliminary investigation indicated that a grey GMC struck the pair at the intersection then sped away from the scene. 

Police say EMS transported the injured to hospital where doctors treated traumatic condition. 

There is an active search for the driver of the vehicle.
