Two Newark Men Arrested for Illegal Dumping

Newark

Authorities announced the arrest of Eduardo Caguana, 38, and Aaron Gabriel, 25, both of Newark, for an incident of illegal dumping yesterday.

According to police, at approximately 12 p.m., members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force responded to 139 Harper Street, a construction site, where two men had driven a dump truck filled with dirt and dumped its contents onto the ground.

Police responded and the two men, Caguana and Gabriel, were immediately arrested.

Authorities charged both men with illegal dumping and illegal transport of solid waste. The dump truck was towed and is subject to forfeiture depending on the disposition of the case.

These charges are merely accusations. Each suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
