Two Motorcyclists Killed in New Jersey Highway Crash

Monmouth County authorities closed a section of Route 18 in both directions while detectives investigated the cause of the crash that killed two motorcyclists in Marlboro Monday night. 

It happened around 9:35 p.m. on NJ-18 near Route 520. 

Preliminary reports indicated that emergency responders arrived on the scene and found two severely injured motorcyclists ejected from their bikes onto the roadway. 

Reports say one of the riders was pronounced dead at the scene while the other individuals were administered CPR before being pronounced dead a short time later. 

The cause of the wreck is under and active investigation.
