Passaic County officials say announce that at approximately 6:12 p.m. on Monday, December 28, 2020, police responded to the Hamburg Turnpike near the intersection of Armstrong Avenue in Wayne where two motor vehicles had collided.
Police a Cadillac CTS, being operated by Jason Montecalvo, 45, of Colts Neck, New Jersey, collided head-on with a Lexus GS300, being operated by David Pohl, 58, of Haledon.
Police both Mr. Montecalvo and Mr. Pohl were pronounced deceased at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time, but the investigation remains active and ongoing.
