The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Arson Task Force and the Readington Township Police Department are investigating a residential fire that occurred in the 600 block County Road 523 in Whitehouse Station earlier this morning.
The names of the two deceased victims will be released after notification of next of kin.
Also, while firefighters raced to the scene, one of their trucks crashed causing the rig to fall into a pond.
No severe injuries were reported.
Officials said this is an active investigation and additional information will be released when available.
