Two people were killed Saturday morning in a head-on collision involving a stolen vehicle in Atlantic County, authorities said.
According to information released by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, the crash occurred at approximately 7:30 a.m. near Route 50 and Third Street in Mays Landing.
Investigators said preliminary findings determined that a stolen vehicle was at fault in the collision.
Authorities said one adult and three juveniles who were occupants of that vehicle have been charged based on information gathered during the initial investigation.
The identities of the two people killed are being withheld while authorities complete next-of-kin notifications.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and Hamilton Township Police Department are jointly investigating the crash.
Officials said additional charges and information could be announced as the investigation continues.
