Police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured in Trenton on Sunday afternoon.
Gunfire erupted just before 1 p.m. in the area of 20 Edgemere Avenue, prompting a large police response.
When officers arrived, they taped off the scene and began assisting a victim found with a gunshot wound to his leg.
While police worked the crime scene, officials at Capital Health Medical Center alerted investigators that a second victim had arrived at the emergency department suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Detectives believe that the individual was also struck during the Edgemere Avenue shooting.
Both victims are expected to recover, but the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
No arrests have been reported, and the motive for the gunfire is still under investigation.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward as the case remains active.
