Two Injured in Trenton Neighborhood Shooting

Police in Trenton are investigating a shooting that injured two victims in Jersey City Sunday. 

The double shooting occurred near 247 Grand Street, prompting a swift response from the police.

Just before 1 a.m., officers arrived at the scene after receiving reports of shots fired.

They immediately called for EMS assistance when they found two victims with gunshot wounds.

Police say one victim was shot in the armpit, while the other sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. Both victims were quickly rushed to the regional medical center, where they are in serious but stable condition.

As authorities arrived, the suspect responsible for the shooting had already fled the scene and is currently at large.

The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has been informed about the incident, and an investigation is underway. No arrests have been reported and law enforcement is actively searching for the perpetrator.

Officials say the community is urged to stay vigilant and report any information related to the shooting to the authorities.
