Two Injured in Plainfield Shooting

Plainfield Police  Director Lisa Burgess said on Saturday at 4:55 pm, Plainfield Police units responded to the area of the 500block of West Third Street on a ShotSpotter alert.    

Upon the officer’s arrival, Director Butgess said they located two victims with gunshot wounds.

One of the victims is a 25-year-old male with a serious injury and the  second victim is a 23-year-old male with non-life threatening injuries.

 Director Butgess said both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The Plainfield Police Criminal Investigation Bureau continues to investigate.
