Two Injured in East Orange Gas Station Shooting

There is an active crime scene established at a gas station in East Orange as police investigate a shooting incident with two victims struck by gunfire this afternoon.

According to police, at approximately noon, officers responded to reports of shots fired that rang out at the Luke Oil gas station location at 544 William Street. Upon arrival, the police found two injured victims.

Police say there was an argument involving the suspects that began in the gas station's store and continued into the station's lot. Then, three shots were reportedly fired from a vehicle at the pump.

Officials report that both the gas station attendant and the alleged target were hit in the arm. Neither injury is being reported as life-threatening and both victims are being treated at University Hospital in Newark.

According to authorities, police are on the search for the suspects occupying a silver 4-door Audi with tinted windows and New Jersey plates, and a black Cadillac with South Carolina plates.
