Two Injured After SUV Cuts Off NJ Transit Bus Causing Crash in Downtown Newark

Two victims suffered non-life threatening injuries after a car and an SUV collided this evening in Downtown Newark.

According to a statement released by NJ Transit officials, the incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Broad and Court streets.

NJ Transit officials said the SUV abruptly changed lanes and cut off the number 13 bus at the intersection, causing the collision.

Then victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The official cause of the crash is under investigation and there were no other injuries immediately reported.
