Two Brooklyn NY Residents Killed in Route 80 Crash in Hope Township

NJ State Police officials are investigating the car of a crash that killed two NY residents and injured two others on a highway in Warren County Saturday evening. 

Police said in a statement the crash occurred at 6:06 pm on I-80 westbound milepost 12.2 in Hope Township. 

According to police officials, preliminary investigation revealed that a 2013 Chevy Cruz traveled westbound on I-80 when it exited the roadway, impacted a guard rail, then slammed into a tree.  

Police said the crash resulted in fatal injuries to both rear seat passengers Tyrell Walker, 30,  and Tyshawn Langhorne, 35, both of Brooklyn, NY. 

Police said the driver Terese Walker, 49, of Syracuse, NY suffered moderate injuries

and front passenger Ms. Patricia Snell, 53, of Brooklyn, also sustained a mild injury. 

According to NJ State Police officials, the left lane of I-80 was closed for approximately 3 hours resulting in minimal traffic congestion.  

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
