Two Arrested in Paterson Police Drug Crack Down

As a result of numerous citizen complaints of Narcotics activity in the area of East Main Street and Hillman Street Paterson, Police officials said the Narcotics Division conducted an investigation on Wednesday, July 10.

Police say the investigation resulted in two individuals placed in custody.

According to police, Shaliek Webb, 24, of Paterson was arrested near 92 East Main Street.

Police charged him with Possession of (15) vials of crack cocaine, Intent to distribute same, Intent to distribute same within 1,000 feet of P.S. #12, Intent to distribute same within 500 feet of Cobb Park, Possession of (9) glassines of heroin.

Intent to distribute same, Intent to distribute same within 1,000 feet of P.S. #12, Intent to distribute same within 500 feet of Cobb Park.

According to police, the second suspect, Grady Sheppard, 55, of Paterson was arrested at Stout Street and Holsman Street in the City of Paterson.

He was charged with Possession of (158) glassines of heroin. Intent to distribute same, Intent to distribute same within 1,000 feet of P.S. # 28, Possession of (16) vials of crack cocaine. Intent to distribute same within 1,000 feet of P.S. # 28.

Detectives also confiscated $158.00 dollars U.S. Currency as suspected drug proceeds from Sheppard.

“We will continue to address community complaints in an effort to rid our city of illegal drugs” stated Paterson Police.
