Police closed eastbound lanes on Route 22 during the morning rush hour after a truck collided with a pole causing live wires to fall to the ground in Springfield.
There were substantial delays that began near the Autoland while police directed traffic around the collision that occurred just before 8 a.m.
The incident caused some power loss in the area, but there were no injuries reported.
The cause is under investigation.
