A truck driver was transported to an area hospital this morning after the truck he was driving went up in flames on Route 280 westbound.
Police responded to Route 280 westbound near milepost 5.5 in Roseland for a reported truck fire.
Upon arrival, police found the male truck driver suffering minor injuries.
He was transported to St. Barbabas for evaluation, according to police.
The fire appears to have been a result of unknown mechanical problems.
All lanes reopened at approximately 11:16 a.m.
Incident remains under investigation.
