Truck Crashes into House in South Brunswick

According to a statement released by police, the incident happened at approximately 4:20 am when a Mack tandem dump truck crashed into a house at 3 Shelley Road.

According to police, the driver was trapped for 40 minutes and had to be extricated by Kendall Park Fire with help from George's Towing.

Police say Kendall Park EMS transported the driver to RWJUH suffering serious injuries.

Police say three people were in the home at the time of the crash and were uninjured but the home is uninhabitable at this time.

Prior to the crash, police say the truck was headed eastbound on New Road.

South Brunswick Police Traffic Safety Bureau is on the scene and investigating.
