A person struck by a train early Saturday morning in Metuchen has NJ Transit police investigating.
According to a brief statement released by NJ Transit officials, The Northeast Corridor rail is suspended in both directions between Metuchen and Rahway due to a trespasser incident near Metuchen that occurred at around 6 a.m.
The victim was transported by EMS to an area hospital in serious condition according to officials.
Expect some delays on the Northeast Corridor line.
