Trespasser Killed by NJ Transit Train in Middlesex County

NJ Transit officials are investigating a train strike that killed a trespasser in Middlesex late Wednesday night.

Offcials say It happened around 11:10 p.m. near Cedar Avenue in Middlesex, where an unidentified male stepped in front of the moving train and was struck.

NJ Transit official said the train had no passengers, and none of the three crew members on board were injured.

Service was temporarily suspended in both directions between Bound Brook and Plainfield but resumed on the New Jersey Transit's Raritan Valley line early this morning.
