Authorities are investigating a fatal train strike of a trespasser who entered the tracks in Dunellen overnight.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened on NJ Transit's Raritan Valley train lines located in the 100 block of North Avenue where the victim suffered fatal injuries after the train struck them before 1:45 a.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical staff.
There were no injuries reported to passengers aboard the train.
