Trenton Woman Wins $2M on Lottery Scratch-Off Ticket

Trenton

Tiffany a regular player of lottery games, from Trenton, went to her local NJ Lottery retailer on a cold November day to buy a few lottery tickets and decided to try her luck with the $2,000,000 Lucky 7’s scratch-off.

Later in the week, while she was at home cleaning, she came across those tickets and decided to scratch them off. Tiffany was astonished to realize one of the tickets was a $2,000,000 winner! She started jumping up and down and crying tears of joy, but was still somewhat in disbelief.

Officials say that same day, Tiffany went back to the retailer where she purchased the tickets and quietly said that she believed she had won the jackpot on her $2,000,000 Lucky 7’s scratch-off tickets. The retailer scanned the ticket, realized it definitely was a jackpot winner, exclaiming “Oh, my God!” and congratulating her.

She left the store and drove directly to her parents’ home to tell them the good news. Her father was there, but she could hardly get the words out to tell him the happy news because she could not stop crying. Once he could calm her and she told him about her big lottery win, he was shocked and delighted. Tiffany made her way to Lottery Headquarters in Lawrenceville that same day and told Lottery officials that not even the first snowstorm of the season could stop her from coming in to file her claim!

Tiffany said that her immediate plans were to purchase new tires for her car and to relocate. Carter Liquor, 199 Oakland Street, Trenton in Mercer County is the “lucky Lottery retailer” that sold Tiffany her winning ticket.

New Jersey Lottery players claimed more than $114.5 million in prizes playing Scratch-Offs in December.
