Mercer County authorities are looking into a shooting that left a teenager injured in Trenton overnight.
According to police, the incident happened in the vicinity of Oakland and Prospect streets at around 9:35 p.m
Police rushed to the scene after they received reports of shots fired with injuries according to authorities.
Arriving units found the victim, a male around 17-years-old, suffering gunshot wounds to the head and back at that location,
The victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where doctors began treating severe injuries.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
